Important Parent Reminders:

·      Each student will receive a Fit Walk t-shirt that they must wear on Friday. T-shirts are being sorted and given to homeroom teachers on Wednesday. Expect them to come home by Thursday.

·      Thank you to everyone who has donated and submitted a Shoe Gram for their child. Shoe Grams will be delivered to classrooms with t-shirts and teachers will distribute them on Friday morning. Teachers will also be provided with Minecraft-themed temporary tattoos for each student to apply and wear on Friday. If you DO NOT want your student to have a temporary tattoo, please let your teacher know.

·      If you plan to attend on Friday. You may be so in one of two ways:

o   Spectators are invited to attend and watch their child from the grandstands of the Quad

o   Walkers MUST have their clearances on file with the school district’s HR department. These lists will be pulled early this week, so if you haven’t submitted them yet, we welcome you to join us as a spectator. If you plan to walk, please bring a photo ID to simplify the check-in process. All walkers will be given a green wrist band, so you can easily come and go if you have students in multiple grades.

·      Mocha Motion coffee truck will be onsite offering coffee and smoothie treats throughout the day. 10% of proceeds will be donated back to the PTO.

·      Due to construction around campus, parking will be available in all three lots of LPC.

·      Due to construction of the new baseball field, you must enter the Quad at the grand stand entrances ONLY!

Volunteers: Volunteers are still needed for Friday. If you have time available, we’d appreciate your help, please sign-up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0445AFAD29A6FBC61-65122081-fitwalk#/

LIC NEWS

It was a great week as we turned the page from September to October. We are ONE WEEK away from FitWalk. Special note: You may walk with your child only if the district has your clearances on file and they are up to date. Please call 717-898-5590 if you are unsure about your clearances. Clearances will not be accepted at the school or at the Quad at the day of the FitWalk.

PTO News

This year, our Landisville students are embarking on a Quest for Fitness, and every grade has a mission: raise the most money and claim the title of Fit Walk Champion!

From now through Fit Walk on Friday, October 9 (rain date of October 16), families can make donations and invite friends, relatives and neighbors to support their student’s grade. Every dollar counts toward your grade-level total and helps the Landisville PTO fund programs, events and experiences that benefit students at LPC and LIC throughout the school year.

The Challenge: Which grade will raise the most?

The Impact: Your donations support PTO-sponsored activities and opportunities for our students.

Your Mission: Donate, share your grade’s fundraising link and help spread the word!

We’ll share updates along the way so you can see how your grade is stacking up against the competition. Will your grade climb to the top of the leaderboard?

All gifts of $5+ may include a message that will be written on a shoe gram and given to your child the morning of Fit Walk.
