Parents/Guardians of grade 5 students:

Each spring the Hempfield School District provides a program on growth and development for fifth grade boys and girls. The program is presented in gender-alike groups during the school day. Grade 5 students at Rohrerstown will have their presentation on Friday, May 15.

Videos links are provided for parents/guardians to view, and we encourage you to view these brief videos before the school program so that you are aware of the content and can discuss with your son or daughter at home after the program.

We understand that some parents or guardians may choose to provide this education to their child on their own. If you have a significant objection to your child participating in this program at school, please contact your child’s teacher prior to the presentation. An alternate activity will then be provided for your child during the time of the growth and development program.

If you have questions about the program, please contact your child’s classroom teacher or the nurse at your child’s school.
